Last Sunday our younger group heard the story of Advent and Christmas. We were in a very special place this time - the chapel of the Cathedral where our church meets. Here it is easy to explain to the kids about how the Church tells time in colours. "Purple is the colour of king and queens.."
В прошлое воскресенье младшая группа воскрески слушала историю Адвента и Рождества полностью. В этот раз мы были в капелле Собора - очень особенное место! В Соборе нам легко объяснять про то, как Церковь обозначает разные времена года разными цветами. "Фиолетовый - цвет царей и цариц..."
And later this week we held a Christmas party at our home and I told this story again. The children had so many questions to ask! One of them was - Why would God chose the shepherds to tell them the news of great joy? wonderful question for an unchurched kid!
А на этой неделе у нас дома была рождественская вечеринка, и я рассказывала детям эту же историю. В конце у ребят было много вопросов, и среди них - почему Бог решил выбрать именно пастухов, чтобы сообщить им радостную весть? Отличный вопрос для невоцерковленного ребенка!
No matter how many times you tell the Advent story, it's never boring, is it? The children continually ask great questions and think about "big picture" ideas. . . . The chapel in the picture is such a beautiful, majestic place. I know that helped the children connect even more with the idea of the coming King and getting ready for his birth.
